In his honor, his family along with the 100 Club of Illinois, created the Larry J Vincent Scholarship which selects an eligible 100 Club Scholar enrolled at a private school every four years for a grant up to $2,500 per school year to assist with the purchase of books, computers and other educational needs. The scholarship is designed to help 100 Club Scholars who experience the additional costs of attending a private secondary education institution or technical training school. The scholarship was first awarded for the 2013 – 2014 school year. Over the course of four years the recipient will receive up to $10,000 in educational assistance. This will go along way towards bridging the gap between the actual cost of a private education and the assistance available to students of fallen first responders.
