The McHenry Township Fire Rescue and partnering organizations, including the 100 Club of Illinois are hosting Life After the Call: How to Strengthen the Home from First Responder Stress, a training designed to support first responders and their families in navigating the impact of job-related stress. This event focuses on building awareness, strengthening relationships, and providing practical tools for maintaining wellness in high-stress environments.

Participants will gain a deeper understanding of the biological stress response, improve communication during and outside of crisis situations, and learn how to recognize stress while developing a personalized wellness plan. The training will also connect attendees with local resources, guidance on finding the right clinician, and strategies for strengthening family systems. Emphasis is placed on peer support and fostering meaningful community connections.
