On Friday, April 29, Knox County Sheriff’s Department Deputy Nicholas D. Weist was struck and killed by a fleeing vehicle while setting up spike strips at the intersection of US Highway 150 at 150 Avenue in Henry County, Illinois. He is survived by his wife and two children. Our hearts are with the Weist family and the Knox County Sheriff’s Department.
