Counseling is actually a second career for me! I began my professional career as an actor. I grew up in Pennsylvania and moved to California after graduation to attended Pepperdine University, where I earned my bachelor’s degree in Theatre Acting. A big part of studying acting involves studying behavior and relationships. So, without knowing where I was going to land 12 years later, I was already honing my passion and skill for working with relationships. I ended up landing in Illinois, where I earned an advanced degree, began my second career in social work, and fell in love with working with couples! I have witnessed the power that strong, connected relationships have on peoples’ overall happiness. I began my journey with Gottman Method Couple’s Therapy training in 2019 when I completed Level 1 training. Over the next several years I completed Level 2, Level 3, Couples and Addiction Recovery training and Treating Affairs and Trauma. After which, I entered into the Certification Track, where I am currently working with my senior Gottman consultant to continuously strengthen my skills and work toward becoming a Certified Gottman Therapist.
