Program Director
The 100 Club of Illinois provides resources, several forms of financial support, access to training, and moral support to both the families of first responders killed in the line of duty and active duty first responders throughout the state of Illinois. 100 Club of Illinois Program Director
The Program Outreach Director plays a key role in turning the organization’s boundless potential into tangible opportunities to ensure support for families of fallen first responders as well as active duty first responders in the State of Illinois. Working in close coordination with the Chief Program Officers (CPO), Development Director (DD), and the Program Coordinator (PC), the Director supports programmatic efforts. The Program Director is responsible for guiding programmatic strategies and overseeing the implementation of programs to better the Club’s response for families and first responders.
This position is attached to the Chicago office and requires regular in-person and in-office work as well as travel throughout the State of Illinois, including:
- 100 Club Trainings and Events (many of which take place at night)
- 100 Club Family Events (many of which take place during weekends0
- Staff team meetings
Program Development & Execution (60%)
- Lead and coordinate program initiatives across designated regions to support organizational goals related to first responders and 100 Club families.
- Manage relationships with program network contacts, ensuring consistent communication and service delivery.
- Implement the First Responder Wellness Program, including:
- Facilitating wellness education and outreach throughout the Illinois first responder community.
- Developing and delivering programming for active-duty first responders statewide.
- Support the creation and enhancement of programming for 100 Club families, scholarship recipients, and first responders.
- Plan and manage statewide Resource Network events and initiatives:
- Recruit, maintain, and engage a statewide network of support service providers.
- Oversee the clinician vetting process to ensure quality standards across the Resource Network.
Critical Incident Support (20%)
- Provide on-call support for critical incidents, responding to agency requests and assisting individual first responders as needed. Flexibility is essential due to the unpredictable nature of this responsibility.
- Maintain key relationships with service providers, law enforcement and fire agencies, peer support groups, and local, state, and federal partners.
Program Event Management (20%)
- Organize and manage key program-related events, including:
- Frontline Convention
- Valor Awards
- Family Day
- First Responder Bonfire
- Oversee event logistics, planning timelines, vendor coordination, and day-of-event details to ensure successful delivery.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent verbal and writing skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- High level of proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite and Adobe products

Development Director

The Development Director contributes to the program and fundraising strategies that significantly expand the outreach base of the organization. Working in close coordination with the Chief Development Officer (CDO), Program Director (PD), and Development Coordinator (DC), the Director coordinates program efforts with fundraising opportunities. We are looking for an experienced fundraising and development professional who is excited by our mission and furthering their career in non-profit fundraising.
This position is attached to the Chicago office and requires regular in-person and in-office work, including:
- 100 Club Events (many of which take place at night and weekends)
- Third party event oversight (many of which take place at night and weekends)
- Staff team meetings
- Donor meetings
Specific Responsibilities Include:
Donor Management (40%):
- Qualify, cultivate, solicit, and steward a portfolio of current and potential donors with the capacity to give up to $5,000.
- Alongside CDO, manage stewardship for event donations and sponsorships using Raisers Edge and create stewardship language and materials.
- Coordinate with CDO to envision and execute communication strategies and vehicles that highlight the impact of the Club’s work to donors and potential donors with wide-ranging interests.
- Work with CDO to secure sponsorships for development and programmatic events
- Manage 100 Club of Illinois Chicago Marathon team, ensuring timely completion of reports and coordination/communication with our team of 39 runners.
- Mange Young Professional Board (YPB). Work with CDO to identify and implement fundraising strategies with YPB. Track YPB and Board of Directors’ progress toward annual goals and requirements.
Events (40%):
- Plan, manage, and execute donor-focused events (signature Club events including First Look for Charity and annual gala) that deepen donor engagement and stimulate revenue growth.
- Track and analyze fundraising metrics, providing reports to CDO.
- Alongside CDO, manage budgets for all donor-focused events.
- Plan post-event debriefs to review qualitative and quantitative outcomes, including ROI of fundraising events.
- Serve as point of contact for all 100 Club event vendors. Work alongside Program Director for programmatic event vendor needs.
Relationship Management (20%):
- Attend and serve as point of contact for all 100 Club signature events, many of which take place on nights and weekends.
- Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including 100 Club families, donors, and members.

100 Club of Illinois Program Coordinator
The Program Coordinator contributes to the program and fundraising strategies that significantly expand the outreach base of the organization. Working in close coordination with the Chief Program Officer (CPO) and Program Director (PD), the Coordinator supports programming efforts. We are looking for an entry to mid-level professional who is excited by our mission.
This position is attached to the Chicago office and requires regular in-person and in-office work as well as travel throughout the State of Illinois, including:
- 100 Club Trainings and Events (many of which take place at night)
- 100 Club Family Events (many of which take place during weekends)
- Staff team meetings
Program Administration
Educational Assistance Program (30%):
- Work directly with 100 Club Scholars on applications and programming needs.
- Build additional Scholar programming as needed to address specific needs of 100 Club family members.
- Maintain the administrative side of the University Partners program.
- Enhance Scholar engagement through mentorships, internships, and peer-to-peer matchings.
- Stay up to date on other external scholarship opportunities available to 100 Club Scholars.
100 Club Families (20%):
- Work with 100 Club team on programming for 100 Club families such as spouse’s events, Cubs/White Sox games, multiple annual family mailings, Family Day, etc.
- Prepare materials and digital content to engage with 100 Club families in collaboration with whole 100 Club team.
First Responders (20%):
- Build active duty first responder training marketing materials to serve statewide community.
- Manage registration details and class confirmations.
- Manage all Individual and Department Wellness funding requests and communication.
- Represent the organization at conventions, conferences, and first responder events by hosting informational tables and engaging with attendees to promote programs and services.
Frontline Convention
- Develop and manage event timelines, ensuring all milestones and deadlines are met.
- Coordinate conference administrative programming communications, including speaker contracts.
- Develop and track the event budget
- Work with coordinator team to develop social media strategy, content creation, and outreach efforts to drive attendance.
- Manage event registration, ticketing, and attendee inquiries.
First Responder and Family Events:
- Assist in the administration and coordination of events for first responders and their families throughout the year such as the Valor Awards, Family Day and Bonfire.
Administrative (30%):
- Provide support and update the 100 Club website and 100 Club app.
- Create program events and maintain family and first responder constituents in Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge NXT.
- Assist in the maintenance of statewide contacts for the Frontline Resource Network including peer support programs, clinicians, continuing education resources, other first responder supporting agencies, etc. for first responders and families.
- Work with coordinator team to develop social media strategy, content creation, e-memo language and branding information.

Specific Responsibilities Include:
Donor Management (40%):
- Manage donor database: record gifts, update contact information, and generate reports.
- Prepare donor acknowledgements as well as documentation, updates and acknowledgements of gifts made in memoriam or in honor.
- Execute annual Pin Up campaign. Solicit and secure new locations and build relationships with business owners to increase campaign revenue.
- Provide administrative support for the 100 Club Young Professional Board.
- Maintain Raisers Edge records alongside Project Coordinator.
Events (40%):
- Manage all third-party events. Coordinate staff/volunteer needs, supplies, and follow-up
- Alongside Development Director, coordinate event logistics including print and online communications, vendor assignments, event materials, invoicing, table assignments, and registration.
- Provide administrative support for fundraising events and campaigns, including website management, creating flyers and other marketing materials, verbiage for monthly E-Memos, and social media content.
- Alongside Project Coordinator, create and execute branded merchandise through relationships with vendors
- Manage and secure volunteers for 100 Club development and programmatic events. Work with Program Coordinator to determine volunteer needs for programmatic events.
