The Carpentersville Police Department is comprised of 59 agency members, with 2 peer support members, serving law enforcement officers. Their Peer Support program originated in 2020. Members are trained through peer support curriculums, including Crisis Associates.
Aside from peer support, other wellness programs that the department offers includes an in-house clinician, therapy K9, annual mental wellness checks, and family programming or resources.
The department’s peer support coordinators are available to coordinate assistance to outside agencies for critical incident response and program development or implementation collaboration.
