I am an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse with Full Practice Authority (APRN-FPA), dual board-certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C) and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC). I am certified in Individual and Group Crisis Intervention through the International Critical Incident Stress Management (CCISM) program and serve as a vetted clinician with the 100 Club of Illinois. My commitment to serving frontline professionals is deeply personal, shaped by early exposure to military service through my mother, a military nurse, and my stepfather, a Vietnam veteran, instilling in me a profound respect for service, sacrifice, and resilience. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Northern Illinois University in 2012 and began my career in corrections, caring for individuals with complex psychiatric and medical needs in high-risk, resource-limited environments. I later transitioned into inpatient psychiatry, providing care across child, adolescent, adult, autism-spectrum, and forensic units, before advancing into partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs. To broaden my clinical expertise, I completed a Master of Science in Nursing – Family Nurse Practitioner at Chamberlain University in 2020, practicing in primary and urgent care before pursuing a post-master’s certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner through the University of St. Francis. Over the past three years, I have practiced outpatient psychiatry in private practice, treating patients ages four and older with a wide spectrum of mental health conditions. As the spouse of a first responder, I understand the operational, emotional, and lifestyle demands placed on frontline families, as I have lived this life all while balancing being a mother and provider. My professional philosophy is grounded in the belief that sustained excellence is achieved through discipline, dedication, and consistency supported by a healthy lifestyle and strategic mental health care that fosters resilience, clarity, and long-term performance.
