The Tinley Park Police Department is comprised of 70 agency members, with 9 peer support members, serving law enforcement officers, corrections, dispatchers, firefighters, and paramedics. Their Peer Support program originated in 2020. Members are trained through peer support curriculums, including Crisis Associates, and peer support members are to attend monthly meetings.
Aside from peer support, other wellness programs that the department offers includes EAP, an in-house chaplain, wellness spaces, on-duty wellness allowances, and annual mental wellness checks.
