On November 6th 2021, Captain Desruisseaux, found himself trapped on a ladder with flashover conditions that resulted in severe burns and his gear having only 10 seconds of protection left while rescuing two civilians. This presentation will challenge you to ask if you and your department are ready to respond for the worst day of your career. It covers what to do should you or your department experience a MAYDAY and give insight on the recovery process after a tragic event.
